Daisy’s album is available via the former webshop link: click here Fans kept asking for an album of this theatre tour, so at the end of the first season of ‘Uma casa Portuguesa’ it was decided to record one. A live CD was chosen for the homage to Amália Rodrigues to capture the connection with the audience. Amália — the great example for all fadistas — made fado world-famous with her own distinctive vision. On this album Daisy also approaches the fados in her own way. She composed the music for Amália na gente; the lyrics were written at her request by Mafalda Arnauth, telling how there is an Amália in every fadista. Daisy also sings Herman Pieter de Boer’s admiration for Amália in the Dutch-language fado ‘Fadista’.

For this album Daisy searched for who she is, what she can be, and where she stands in fado. She wrote the music for several songs. The lyrics were written by well-known fado artists. The album includes songs about Daisy herself — how others see her.
